Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22

January 1978

FROM THE EAST

Brethren,

The Officers of your Lodge wish to again express their appreciation to you, Brethren, for the confidence you nave reposed in them for the ensuing year.

January is traditionally the month in which we rededicate ourselves to the ideals and tenets of our order. At our first Stated Communication this month we will present a short Rededication Program. We must remember, however, that in many cases we must Reactivate ourselves before we can Rededicate ourselves. To this end, Brethren, call a Brother and invite him to attend Lodge with you. If you need transportation or other assistance, call on any of the Officers and they will arrange for your needs. At our second Stated Communication we will have a program to present for our youth. The Job's Daughters and DeMolay will be our guests for the evening.

In February, your Officers and Representatives will be attending Grand Lodge in Williamsburg. This year being the 200th Anniversary of our Grand Lodge, we will be involved in several celebrations marking this event. Also, on the 20th of February, we will hold our annual George Washington Birthday Celebration. In addition to the Traditional Wreath Laying at Mt Vernon and our reception of the Grand Master of Masons in Virginia, we will hold a Birthday Ball following the Lodge meeting. Contact any of the Officers for information and tickets.

Brethren, your zeal for the Institution of Freemasonry has pointed you out as a proper object for esteem and favor; support with propriety the character of your profession and continue to pursue the Sacred tenets of our order.

Sincerely and fraternally,
Dennis C. McCraney

Worshipful Master
