Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22

February 1978

FROM THE EAST

Brethren,

February, as you can see by the Trestleboard, will be a very busy month. At our first Stated Communication, Right Worshipful Brother Glen S. Faxon, Sr. will review the Resolutions to come before Grand Lodge in Williamsburg. Please be with us on this occasion to share your thoughts with your representatives to the Grand Lodge session.

We will be making an official visit to Fredericksburg Lodge #4 on February 10. On that evening, Most Worshipful Brother Marvin E. Fowler will present to Fredericksburg Lodge the working model of the statue of George Washington on display in the Great Hall of the Memorial.

On February 20, we will hold our traditional George Washington Birthday Celebration commencing with the Wreath Laying at Mt Vernon. Following the reception of the Grand Master of Masons in Virginia that afternoon, there will be a dinner and Birthday Ball in the evening. Contact any of your officers for information and tickets.

Brethren, to dwell together in the unity of Freemasonry is not always easy. Nor are the tenets of our profession the paths of least resistance. Yet, the standards and boundaries they provide constitute our greatest achievements. Your steadfast attachment to and practice of these principles makes our Fraternity what it is today. Are you satisfied with what you have?

Sincerely and fraternally,
Dennis C. McCraney

Worshipful Master
