FROM THE EAST

Brethren,

As you will note by the Trestleboard, each month seems to get busier. At our first stated Communication, we will have our usual business meeting and receive our brethren celebrating their Masonic Birthdays this month. Our new District Deputy Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Karl David Beckemeyer, will make his official visit to our Lodge at our second Stated Communication. Your support on this occasion, as well as our called communications, will be greatly appreciated.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you brethren for your support during our annual George Washington Birthday Celebration activities. Particularly, to those of you who assisted in bringing so many of our widows to our dinner and dance.

Brethren, the bonds of Freemasonry are only as strong as the tenets and virtues of our profession as practiced by men. Though we are sometimes not equal to the trials that face us, let us remember that we are by nature imperfect. Our kind offices should extend to all; "more especially to the household of the faithful." Remember that the tolerance and forgiveness inculcated by our profession has built not only a brighter and stronger fraternity, but free nations as well. Thus must we always endeavor to erect our spiritual buildings agreeable to the rules and designs laid down by the Supreme Architect of the Universe.

Sincerely and fraternally,
Dennis C. McCraney

Worshipful Master
