Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22

January 1979

FROM THE EAST

Brethren,

Greetings from your humble servant, who thanks each and every one for the honor bestowed upon him to serve as your Worshipful Master during the one hundred ninety-sixth year of the most outstanding Masonic Lodge in this country and perhaps the world. A special thanks is, also, extended to those Worshipful Masters under whom I served while in line to the East.

The officers have given their assurance they will faithfully perform the duties of the office to which they have been elected and appointed. I in turn pledge to you, My Brethren, the best I have in effort, time and talent. With this assurance on our part and with your cooperation and help there is no reason why Alexandria-Washington Lodge cannot be at the top of the list of outstanding lodges in this area.

It is out hope that our lodge will function in such a manner that there will be no doubt when it comes to qualifying for the Noel Hillman Memorial Award,or any other awards that may be offered for meritorious service during 1979. Our plans for the year encompasses all the requirements for this award. It can be easily obtained by each of us performing our duties with thoroughness and dispatch.

Your attention is called, elsewhere in the Trestleboard, to the important dates of lodge activities for the entire year, so you will have due notice thereof.

The dinner celebrating Brother Washington's Birthday will be in the Memorial Dining Room, followed by a program in the auditorium. The tickets may be picked up from the Secretary, or any of the lodge officers during the month of January for a donation of $5.00, or in February for a donation of $5.50. The deadline for tickets is February 15.

May the New Year be for you and your family happy and prosperous. May the Supreme Architect of the Universe Bless each of you with good health during the entire year.

Sincerely and fraternally,
Jason W. Snyder
Worshipful Master
