You have bestowed upon me the highest Masonic Honor, that of being elected Master of our Lodge, a fact for which I will be ever thankful. As I reflect on the names of those who have preceded me to the "East" in this historic Lodge I am struck with awe and even more grateful for your confidence and support.
I would again like to thank Rt. Wor. Bro. Don, Wor. Bro. Bob, Harold, Jason and John for their excellent work during the installation and all others whose efforts made the occasion a night to remember for all the officers, their families and friends.
This year promises to be full and rewarding. We will host Constitutional Lodge No. 294 of Beverley, England and Liberty Lodge of Beverly, Massachusetts. In addition, we will have our traditional events commencing with the Washington's birthday celebration on February 18. Tickets for the birthday dinner will be on sale in the very near future and may be obtained from any officer or the Secretary. Please purchase these tickets early so we may plan for the correct number of meals to be served.
As of this writing the Lodge has only a few candidates going through the degrees. As new petitions are the lifeblood of masonery make sure that outstanding petitions are returned to the Secretary as soon as possible.
In closing I would like to ask for your support during the year. The most obvious is by your attendance in Lodge whenever possible. There are many other ways of supporting your Lodge and I solicit your support in any way possible. My desire is to greet each and every member of this great Lodge at a meeting at least once during 1980.
Sincerely and fraternally,
James R. Freeman

Worshipful Master
