Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22

October 1980

FROM THE EAST

Brethren,

This month we will have the privilege of hosting the Brethren, ladies and friends of Constitutional Lodge No. 294 of Beverley, England. It has been six years since they last visited Alexandria and I for one, have long awaited their return. For your information a brief outline of their schedule appears below.

Brethren, don't forget the cut off date for purchase of tickets to the Reception and Ladies' Night is October 3. Each Officer has tickets so a word to the wise is sufficient. This event will honor the Brethren and ladies of Constitutional, William L. Elkins Lodges and our ladies. I look for a large turn out on Saturday, October 18, at Bolling AFB Officers' Club for this occasion.

At our first Stated Meeting this month, Bro. Erskine Stewart, a member of the Grand Lodge Committee on Masonic Home Endowment, will present our annual Founders' Day Program. The second Stated Meeting we will honor Law Enforcement Officers. Chief and Brother Strobe1 will be the speaker for the evening. Please note the Called Meeting of October 16 when we will officially receive the visiting Brethren from England, confer the EA Degree on one of our candidates and be entertained by the Cherrydale Players who will present the play, "Rose Upon the Alter".

Sincerely and fraternally,
James R. Freeman

Worshipful Master
