Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22

December 1980

FROM THE EAST

Brethren,

At our first stated meeting, December 11, we will hold a memorial service for our departed brethren and celebrate Masonic birthdays. Our second stated meeting is scheduled for Christmas Day, but we have requested and received a dispensation to move this meeting to December 18. Note this change because at this meeting we will have annual reports and hold the election of officers for the upcoming Masonic year. The officers elected at this meeting will be installed at an open installation on Saturday, December 27, 1980, at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the GWMNM. You and your family and friends are most cordially invited to be with us on this occasion.

It is with a touch of sadness that I write my final trestleboard. The year has passed so quickly that there was not enough time to accomplish everything I set out to do. I can only hope my priorities were consistent with that of my brethren of this great lodge.

I offer a sincere and heartfelt "Thank You" to the membership, first for your confidence in me by electing me to this high office, and secondly for your help and support throughout this year. To the officers for 1981, I wish for you the best of luck.

I wish for you and your family a happy holiday season, and ask that the blessings of Heaven always fall upon you, and your loved ones.

Sincerely and fraternally,
James R. Freeman

Worshipful Master
