Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22

January 1982

FROM THE EAST

Brethren,

I thank all who helped make the Annual Installation of Officers a success. My special thanks goes to the Installing Officers, the Members and Council of Bethel No. 4 Jobs Daughters, the Members and Advisors of Alexandria-Washington Demolay Chapter, and all who gave their help so generously. I also thank you for all the kind wishes and offers of help and support for the new Masonic year of 5982. It is a pleasure to be acquainted with so many nice people.

I congratulate the newly installed Officers and wish them every success in their new stations and places. I am very proud to be a part of such a superb line of officers.

I invite your attention to the designs on the Trestleboard. In addition to our regular stated meetings, you will notice there is degree work that must be performed on January 21st and 25th. I hope you will be able to join us. We need your help.

February will also be a very busy month. On February 1st we will make an official visit to Potomac Lodge No. 5 to display the Washington Trowel. Grand Lodge will convene February 8th through the 11th. The Grand Master of Masons in Virginia will visit us on February 15th during our annual George Washington Birthday banquet celebration. On February 17th we will make an official visit to John Blair Lodge No. 187 to help welcome the new District Deputy Grand Master of Masonic District 1A during his homecoming. And the District Instructor of Work will make a visit to our Lodge on the 25th. Please make a note of these important upcoming events.

The Officers and myself wish you health, peace and God's blessing for the New Year.

Sincerely and fraternally,
Leo A. Sentiger, Jr.

Worshipful Master

OUR SECRETARY'S DREAM

I fell asleep the other night.
And while I had my snooze
I dreamed each member stepped right up
And Promptly paid his dues.
But when I found 'twas but a dream
I nearly threw a fit;
It's up to you to make it true --
Suggestion -- "PLEASE REMIT."
