At our Stated Communication of November 11, 1982, we will conduct any necessary business, celebrate Masonic Birthdays and have a short Educational Program. The Educational Program will be delivered by the Junior Warden, Brother Archie Lyon.
On November 18, 1982 at 6:30 PM there will be a Called Communication of Alexandria-Washington Lodge for the purpose of holding a Table Lodge. The Table Lodge was traditionally a Tiled Entered Apprentice Lodge, followed by the peculiar Ritual used only in a Table Lodge, so all Entered Apprentices and Fellowcrafts could participate in the fellowship of the Lodge. As all business is conducted in the Master Mason Degree in Virginia, the Lodge will be opened in the dining room on the Master Mason Degree, then called to refreshment, at which time all below this Degree will be admitted and the Table Lodge opened. Worshipful Brother LaVon P. Linn, Past Master of Potomac Lodge No. 5 in the District of Columbia and Past National President of the National Sojourners will be the Guest Speaker on this festive occasion. The menu will consist of an appetizer, salad, Steaks from the Bar-Be-Cue, baked potato with sour cream (or butter), vegetable, garlic bread, coffee & tea, and desert. Donation to help defray the cost of the dinner is $5.00. All Officers have tickets.
There will also be called Communications of the Lodge on November 15th and 29th. The meeting on November 15th is called for the purpose of doing work in the Entered Apprentice Degree. The meeting on November 29th is called for the purpose of doing work in the Master Mason Degree.
The Secretary has asked me to announce that the Alexandria-Washington Lodge Bicentennial Commemorative Medals will be mailed out, to those who requested delivery by mail, on November 10th. Those who did not pay for the mailing, may pick up their Medals commencing with the Stated Meeting of November 11th. There are still a few of the numbered series available for those members who have not yet placed their order. Also, there is still a quantity of the unnumbered series available. See or write the Secretary now and place your order.
