Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22

February 1985

FROM THE EAST

Brethren,

The month of February is a busy one for your lodge and the officers hope that you will join us in the observance of Illustrious Worshipful Brother George washington's Birthday. We will have the wreath laying at Mt. Vernon on the 18th and the George washington stated meeting with the official visit of the Grand Master, Most Worshipful, John Boyd Obenchain, on the 22nd. The lodge meeting will start at 6:00 pm and there will be entertainment for the ladies during lodge. After lodge we will have dinner (tickets are available from the officers) and entertainment by the British Embassy Players. The Players are employees of the British Embassy who put on a superb show of British humor. For an evening to honor George washington and of fellowship, come join us.

During our first stated on the 14th we will welcome RW Donald M. Robey as our speaker and consider a resolution on the Washington chair. On the 28th we will have the official visit of our District Education Officer WB Dennis L. School.

A part of my desire for the year is to increase participation at Masonic funerals. WB Griffith now has the draft telephone notification list to finalize. If you have not been called recently about Masonic services, you might have been overlooked in my drafting of the list. We would like to add your name to it. So, if you are able to attend day or evening Masonic services, please call me.

With best wishes, I am

Fraternally,

John M. Nicholson, Jr.
Worshipful Master
