Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22

October 1985

FROM THE EAST

Brethren,

The Lodge's ladies night is fast approaching. I will need a final count of ticket sales from the officers on the Wednesday before our first stated meeting. So, call an officer and reserve your tickets. You can pay for them at the stated meeting or at the door. Besides the Lodge's ladies night on October 12th, the Grand Lodge is having a Masonic Home Youth Day from 10 a.m. til 2 p.m. If you can, please attend and enjoy.

Also, speaking of our youth we need your support of our Alexandria-Washington DeMolay Chapter and Jobie Bethel #22. We need young men and women. So, if you know of any young men or woman let them know about our youth groups.

Our first stated meeting on October 10th will be appendant body night. All heads of appendant bodies are welcome. On this night we will honor Brother Westley Robinson and celebrate Masonic birthdays. Our second stated on October 24th will be our Founders Program with Worshipful Brother William H. Consla, the Masonic Home Ambassador for Masonic District 1A, as our speaker. While contributions to the Masonic Home may not now appear to be as great as during the recent construction program, the Home does still need our support. You can send your contributions to the Home through our Lodge Secretary.

In November we will make two visits, one to Fredicksburg No. 4 on November 4, 1985 and the other to Andrew Jackson No. 120. On AJ #120's official visit to our Lodge, Worshipful Jim Hayes brought 18 brethren. I would like to return with as many. Mark Thursday, November 21, 1985, for an official visit to AJ #120 on your calendar. Our one stated meeting in November will be a memorial program with RW Albert Brown Bailey, PDDGM. Also, we will have a called meeting for MM Degrees on Saturday, November 2, 1985, at 8:00 a.m.

With best wishes, I am

Fraternally,

John M. Nicholson, Jr.
Worshipful Master
