You have awarded me a great honor in selecting me as Worshipful Master for 1987. This famous Lodge has been blessed through the years with able and dedicated Masters. I shall do my best to see that the noble traditions and customs of the Lodge are contiuned.
Our Lodge programs begin on January 8th with a Rededication Message. Most Worshipful Lloyd U. Jefferson, Past Grand Master of Masons of Virginia in 1982 will be our speaker. I urge all of you to attend to hear this outstanding Mason.
The second stated meeting will be devoted to the resolutions to be considered at Grand Lodge. Discussion of the resolutions will assist the stationed officers of the Lodge in determining how to cast their votes at Grand Lodge.
Brethren, please make special note of the two degree nights in January. In recent years we have slipped badly in providing enough manpower to perform degrees. Call Bro. Dave Keckler if you can participate in this work. If you need training and practice, attend the Lodge Schools. We will continue the schools on a regular basis until we find they are unnecessary.
