Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22

September 1987

FROM THE EAST

Brethren,

The last Stated Meeting in August is designated Family Night. A short business meeting and birthday recognitions in the Lodge will be followed by entertainment in the dining room. Refreshments of soft drinks and hefty banana splits heaped with ice cream will be served.

The decision on our visit to Liberty Lodge, Beverly Mass., is GO. We will be ready to depart from GWMNM at 7:30 AM on Friday, September II. There will be much to do at the last minute to get off on time. Your help in gathering the luggage, food, supplies, etc. and loading the bus will be useful. We will be pleased to see you at the Memorial to wish us a speedy and safe trip.

e will not be in Lodge September 17 to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of our Constitution as a group, but we can participate in the day's activities wherever we may be. One of the tributes proposed by the Commission on the Bicentennial of the U.S.A. Constitution is "Bells Across America". The following quote is from a flyer released by the Commission:

We shall take additional note of the constitution during our Stated Meeting on September 24.

Fraternally,

Robert N. Pitner
Worshipful Master
