It is time to honor our ladies and this we will do on Saturday, October 10. They have supported us well this year and are most deserving of a night of entertainment. The brethren and their ladies of William L. Elkins Lodge No. 646 of Pennsylvania will join us on this occasion as usual. We visited them for their Ladies Night in May and experienced a delightful weekend.

The banquet on the 10th will take place at the Holiday Inn, 2460 Eisenhower Drive, Alexandria. A hospitality suite will be open at 5 PM preceding the dinner at 7. Music for enjoyment during dinner and for dancing later will be provided. Tickets for the banquet are available from the officers of the Lodge. Please purchase tickets as soon as possible in order to insure reservations.

Our programs this month are highlighted by visits from the Grand Master of Masons in Virginia, Donald Maynard Robey, who will bring us a Founders Day message, and from the Grand Senior Deacon, William Franklin Perdue, who will be making his first speaking appearance at our lodge. Let us have a large turnout to welcome and to show our appreciation to these distinguished Masons.

We have several candidates working their way through the degrees. Our Deacons will be most appreciative if you will volunteer your services in coaching or as members of degree teams.

Since our stated communication of September 10, we made our fraternal visit to Liberty Lodge in Beverly, Mass. It was a successfull and thoroughly enjoyable visit. The brethren and their wives of Liberty Lodge extended themselves to make us welcome and our stay pleasant. Wor. Bro. Bob Swinger did an outstanding job in putting the trip together. The presence of those who made the trip, contributed very highly to its success.
