Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22

February 1988

FROM THE EAST

Brethren,

February will be a busy month for your Lodge. We will begin our activities on the first day of the month with an officers meeting and the initiation of the Alexandria-Washington Lodge Ritual School. We hope to see many of the members, both new and old in Attendance to reinforce their catechisms and to learn the Masonic work.

On the seventh through the ninth we will attend the Grand Lodge Communication at the Hyatt Richmond to take part in the election of Grand Lodge Officers and to voice the Lodge's opinion on the proposed resolutions for this years consideration.

We hope many of you will be there to take part, and to help console our own Brother, MW Donald Maynard Robey when he steps down from his most productive and, I am sure, personally gratifying year in the Grand East.

On the eleventh we will report on the Grand Lodge business. and have a short program by WBro. W.A. Brown on the History of AW#22.

We will celebrate the birthday of Illustrious Brother George Washington on the Fifteenth with a Tull day of activities, including receiving the new Grand Master, G. Hunter Jones. See the opposite page for further details.

On the twenty-second. we will conduct our second evening of the AW#22 Lodge School and will be honored to have as our new Lodge Instructor of Work, MW Don Robey there to assist us in learning the ritualistic work of our beloved Masonic Fraternity. Please come out and join us, all Brothers Are welcome.

On the twenty-fifth, you will have the opportunity to welcome to our Lodge, the new District Education Officer for Masonic District 1-A.

Fraternally,
William A. Jones
Worshipful Master
