Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22

November 1990

FROM THE EAST

Brethren,

As we look forward to Thanksgiving - and there is a lot to be thankful for - let me look back to October 6th, Ladies Night. I want to thank all of you for your support, especially the ladies of the Lodge. We could not have made it without you. I also want to thank Jack Canard for his help and for providing the music and sound system.

On Saturday the 3rd, we will go to Fredericksburg Lodge No. 4 to attend a dinner and meeting to celebrate the initiation of George Washington. Most Worshipful George W. Farley will be the guest speaker. Dinner will be served at 6:30pm. Let me know if you will attend this event, I must inform the Master of Fredericksburg Lodge of how many dinners to prepare for our attendance.

During our Stated Meeting on the 8th, in addition to our regular business meeting activities, we will conduct a Memorial Service to honor our deceased brethren who have gone to the celestial Lodge above. We will also recognize Masonic Birthdays during this meeting since the lodge will be dark on the forth Thursday for Thanksgiving.

On the 29th, we will have a CALLED MEETING for a Family / Youth Night in honor of the Jobbies and DeMolay. This will be called a F.F.F. meeting (Family Fall Festival) and will start at 7:3Opm in the Lodge Room. It will not be a tiled meeting so that all family members can attend. I would like to ask the ladies (again for their help) if they would bring pies or cake to go with the ice cream and pop. We are planning for a fun evening - so come and bring the family and support our youth.

Sincerely and Fraternally,

Wardell H. Thomas
Worshipful Master
