We will have a very busy month with both the Grand Lodge in session and our Lodge's celebration of George Washington's Birthday to include the visit of the Grand Master. We will also perform a great deal of degree work involving our ten candidates.
On Friday the 22nd, we will have a rehearsal in the Lodge Room for the Lodge Officers and designated Committee members for the reception of the Grand Master on the 23rd. While it is mandatory that all personnel involved in the ceremony attend, any other brother who would like to observe is invited to attend.
Please note that this year, our Lodge will celebrate Brother Washington's birthday on the weekend after the government's Monday holiday. Therefore, a brother has two chances to enjoy Brother George's birthday: first, by taking advantage of the three-day weekend; and, secondly, by attending the Lodge festivities.
The Officers have tickets for the George Washington Birthday dinner on February 23rd. Donations are $10.00 per person. I am looking forward to seeing all the brethren, and their ladies in attendance.
