The dog days of summer have arrived and some members might think that it will be too hot to attend lodge. I can report that the air conditioner is working fine and let me assure you that I will conduct the business of the lodge in a timely manner.
I will see that our two stated communications this month will close by 9:00 o'clock pm. I will give the keynote speeches: "The Little Lodge in Batavia" on the 11th, and "A Ship is Never Truly on Its Course" on the 25th.
Our called communications for degree work will continue on the 8th and the 15th. We are lucky to have so many candidates. I would also remind you that our LODGE RITUAL SCHOOL which is held every Sunday evening, unless another activity is scheduled, is open for attendance by all members of the lodge and friends in the Masonic community.
I am not ashamed that the lodge has a light schedule for a change. After a very busy spring, the officers and brethren are entitled to a slower pace. At long last we can take a breather before the activity picks up in the fall.
