Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22

December 1991

FROM THE EAST

Brethren,

It seems like only a short time ago that you bestowed upon me the honor of serving as Worshipful Master of our historic Lodge. In a few short weeks I will hand the gavel over to my successor. It has been one of the richest and most rewarding experiences of my life.

I would like to thank my officers for their support, especially Rt. Wor. Bro. Godfrey Runaldue, our Secretary, for his advice on traditional matters, Bro. Jack Canard, our Senior Warden, for his extra help on the trestleboards and lodge matters in general, and Bro. Claude Harris, our Junior Warden, for organizing the Jones Point Cornerstone Ceremony which went extremely well in March.

On the 12th, we will hold my final stated meeting. At this meeting we will have the Lodge elections for 1992, close the Lodge of Sorrow, and present Annual Reports to the Lodge.

On the following Saturday, the 14th, we will hold a wreath laying ceremony at Mount Vernon to commemorate the 192nd anniversary of the death of Illustrious Brother George Washington. All attending should be there by 8:30am. We will have refreshments afterwards at Collingwood.

I wish all a happy and safe holiday season.

Sincerely and Fraternally,

Earl C. Million
Worshipful Master
