Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22

May 1993

Master's Message

My Brethren:

As summer approaches, we will continue to receive a greater number of visiting lodges from across the country. For those who are interested in witnessing variants in Masonic rituals, this is a great opportunity. These lodges are so honored to be received and confer degrees in George Washington's lodge, please attend and make these brethren feel at home.

Ladies' Night at William L. Elkins Lodge No. 646 will be held at the Holiday Inn at King of Prussia, Pa., Saturday, May 1, 1993. Those that plan to attend should already have their reservations booked. If you need further information about the trip, please contact Wor. John R. Ranck, Sr.

At our first stated meeting, we will receive the President of the George Washington Masonic National Memorial Association. Most Wor. Charles A Brigham, Jr. and members of the Executive-Committee will assist in planting a beautiful American Red Maple Tree in honor of the historic and fraternal relationship between our lodge and the Memorial Association. Fifty years have passed since the lodge formally adopted our agreement with the Association and this ceremony will mark this event.

Tickets are available from the lodge officers for the Grand Master's official visit to the district. Ladies are welcome with a $12.00 donation requested for dinner.

At our second stated meeting we will receive all the original Masonic bodies that are from Alexandria. Requested to participate are: Andrew Jackson Lodge, Mount Vernon Royal Arch Chapter, Martha Washington Order of the Eastern Star, Old Dominion Commandry, the Alexandria Scottish Rite Bodies, and the Alexandria-Washington Chapter, Order of DeMolay. This will be an occasion to reunite our Masonic family and have reflections of days gone by from the older members.

Sincerely and fraternally,

Claude H. Harris, Jr.
