Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22

January 1997

FROM THE EAST

Brethren,

On behalf of the officers and myself I would like to thank the lodge for the honor of allowing us to serve this great lodge for the ensuing Masonic year. I would also like to sincerely thank the Installation Officers, National Sojourners, Heroes of 76, members of the Alexandria Court No. 7, Order of the Amaranth, members of the Alexandria-Washington Chapter, Order of DeMolay and the many members of this lodge for their continued help and advice in making our installation a success.

On January 09th we will hold our first stated communication for 1997. We will open the Lodge of Sorrow, announce appointments to the various committees and celebrate Masonic birthdays. On January 23rd we will receive Rt. Wor. William H. Consla for his official visit as District Deputy Grand Master for Masonic District 1-A.

The Lodge encourages members to learn as much as possible about Masonry. Many books and magazines are available in the Lodge libraty and in the separate libraty of the George Washington Masonic National Memorial.

Once again my Brethren, I want to thank you for affording me this great honor to serve as your Master. I assure you that I will do my best to serve our glorious lodge and FreeMasonry with honesty and integrity.

Sincerely and Fraternally,

Walter L. Margeson
Worshipful Master
