Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22

March 1997

FROM THE EAST

Brethren,

On behalf of the officers and myself, I would like to thank everyone who assisted in making the George Washington Celebration a success. Brother Washington was a man of enomlous honesty, integrity, honor and humility. All traits we should try to emulate.

Our official visit to Henry Knox Field #349 resulted in the lodge obtaining the DDGM's large Traveling Gavel. Thanks to the brethren of this lodge who attended this enjoyable evening. We have three official visits this month. The visit to Andrew Jackson Lodge will be the celebration of Andrew Jackson's birthday. A dinner and entertainment will follow.

Our first stated communication will feature Rt. Wor. William Adrian Brown's rescheduled presentation for January. Our second stated will feature Most Wor. Floren Lamont Quick speaking on the Compasses.

We have two important schools this month. The regular District 1-A Ritual school is on March 24 and the Northern Area Leadership Conference will be held at the Scottish Rite Temple on March 15 where all officers are required to attend.

Sincerely and Fraternally,

Walter L. Margeson
Worshipful Master
