Several lodge brethren and myself attended The National Memorial Arch Dedication Ceremonies in Valley Forge, Pa. The replica of our trowel was used at the ceremony. The Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania did a superb job and should be commended for their efforts in preserving this symbol of freedom.
At our first stated communication, Wor. Paul Martin Bessel will speak on The Hiram Abif legend Our second stated communication will be Civic Recognition Night where Congressman, Hon. James P. Moran and Ms. Ethel S. Underwood will be honored and both will speak.
The 52nd Masonic Night Service will be held at the First Christian Church, 2723 King St. on Sunday, Oct. 5, at 7:30 p.m. This is an evening worship service conducted by the First Christian Church and the Masonic Community .The sermon will be given by Most Worshipful Alan Wayne Adkins, Grand Master of Masons in Virginia. All Brethren are welcome to attend these meetings.
One visiting Lodge is scheduled to use our Lodge room next month: Monitor Lodge No.197 (Virginia) - Oct. 4 - 11 a.m.
