Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22

December 1997

FROM THE EAST

Brethren,

Thank you for the special trust and confidence you had in me by allowing me to serve as Worshipful Master for the Masonic year 5997. I appreciate the help of the officers and members who contributed long hours of hard work. It is a great honor and privilege to have served the Brethren of Alexandria Washington No. 22.

Our "Special Ladies" reception was a great success and enjoyed by all attendees.

At our first and only stated communication in December, I will address the lodge and briefly discuss my year. I will close out the year with the Lodge Annual Reports, Election of Officers, Lodge of Sorrow, and Memorial Service.

On Sunday, December 14, we will gather at Mount Vernon to observe the 198th anniversary of the death of Wor. Bro. George Washington. Most Wor. Albert Hugh Tignor, Jr., Grand Master of Masons in Virginia, will be attendance and assisting us in this event. A11 Brethren and their ladies are welcome to attend.

Our Installation of Officers for the upcoming Masonic year will be open to the public and held on December 27th, Saint John the Evengelist Day. I encourage you to attend and support next year's officers.

Happy Holidays!

Sincerely and Fraternally,

Walter L. Margeson
Worshipful Master
