Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22

February 1998

Master's Message

My Brethren:

February looks to be as busy of a month as it was in January for our Lodge.

On Thursday, February 5, at 7:30 p.m., we will be making an Official Visit to Andrew Jackson Lodge No. 120. I would like to see as many members as possible come and visit our neighboring Lodge.

At our first Stated Communication, February 12, Worshipful Frank R. Dunaway will be speaking on the subject of "Brotherly Love and Affection." This subject was Wor. Bro. Dunaway's theme for his year as Master in 1994.

On Saturday, February 21st, Most Worshipful Albert Hugh Tignor, Jr. will make his Official Visit to Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22 for the 196th George Washington Birthday Celebration. You will not want to miss this event. The entertainment will be presented by Gen. William Whipple Military Lodge of New Hampshire. They travel the country performing plays and will present a drama entitled "That Tarnished Knight." Tickets are selling fast so call or see me or one of the officers to make your reservations. Please see the insert for time and location of the day's activities. All events are open to ladies and guest (entertainment will be provided during Lodge.).

We will hold a Youth Night at our second Stated Communication, February 26th. Representatives from the various Masonic youth groups will share with us about their activities. A member of our own Alexandria-Washington DeMolay Chapter will deliver the impressive "Ceremony of Light." All former DeMolays are encouraged to wear any regalia you might have.

NOTIFICATION: We will be considering nominations for recommendation for appointment to the office of District Deputy Grand Master and an alternate at our March 12 Stated Communication.

Sincerely and fraternally,

Philip J. Hays
Worshipful Master
