My Brethren:
Exciting things are happening at your lodge and I encourage those of you who have not attended lodge recently to join us as we continue to explore this year's theme, "A Temple of Living Stones."
At each Stated Communication our Lodge Archivist, Wor. Mark W. Underwood, is presenting several items from the Archives for exhibition. His short presentations have proved to be popular and provides a good opportunity to learn about our vast artifacts and their Masonic and historical significance.
At our first Stated Communication, March 12, Worshipful Robert T. Reitz will be presenting a program entitled "The Sprig of Acacia." Wor. Bro. Reitz is a Past Master of Patmos Lodge No. 70, Ellicott City, Maryland and is currently serving as Worshipful Master of Waverly Lodge No. 152, Cockeysville, Maryland. We will also be considering nominations for recommendation for appointment to the office of District Deputy Grand Master and an alternate for 1999.
On Tuesday, March 24, at 7:30 p.m., we will be making an Official Visit to Kemper-Macon Ware Lodge No. 64. This will be our first visit to this lodge since Kemper Lodge No. 64 and Macon Ware Lodge No. 192 merged earlier this year. Come out and support this new lodge in Falls Church.
I am pleased that my father, Rev. Bro. John C. Hays, will travel from Ohio to speak to us on the topic of "Devotion to Deity" at our second Stated Communication, March 26th. He has served in the ministry for 40 years and is a member of Grove City Lodge No. 689, Grove City, Ohio.
Sincerely and fraternally,
Philip J. Hays
Worshipful Master
