My Brethren:
I want to thank you for the honor you have given me by electing me as Master for 1999. On behalf of the officers, it is our pledge to do our very best in representing Alexandria-Washington Lodge and living up to the responsibilities you have entrusted in us. 1999 will be a very exciting year for our lodge as we commemorate the 200th anniversary of our Illustrious Brother George Washington's death. There are many events planned throughout the year and it is important that you participate and support your lodge and honor the memory of our Past Master.
At our first Stated Communication, January 14, we will open a Lodge of Sorrow and I will have a few remarks concerning the Masters theme of "The Lodge of Washington".
We will be making three Official Visits in January. The first to John Blair Lodge No. 187 on Wednesday January 20, at 7:30 p.m., Andrew Jackson Lodge No. 120 on Thursday January 21, at 7:30 p.m., and Kemper-Macon Ware No. 64 on Tuesday January 26, at 7:30 p.m.
Rt. Wor. Christopher J. Burris, DDGM will be making his Official Visit to Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22 at our second Stated Communication Thursday, January 28, at 7:30 p.m.
NOTIFICATION: We will be considering nominations for recommendation for appointment to the office of District Deputy Grand Master and an alternate at our February 11 Stated Communication.
Sincerely and fraternally,
Michael P. Bible
Worshipful Master
