My Brethren:
On our first Stated Communication, I will have the pleasure of presenting two Community Builders Award. Mayor Kerry Donley and Ruby Tucker, an outstanding community activist, will be our honorees. Our second Stated Communication is Past Master's Night. Please plan to join your brethren as we honor our Past Masters.
The Pennsylvania Brethren and their ladies will join us on October 9, for the annual Ladies Night Celebration. A hospitality suite will be set up at the Holiday Inn on Eisenhower Avenue. Dinner and live entertainment will be held at the George Washington Masonic Memorial. Tickets may be purchased from the officers.
The 54th Masonic Night Service will be held at the First Christian Church, 2123 King St., on Sunday, October 3, 1999, at 8:00 pm. This is an evening worship service conducted by the First Christian Church and the Masonic Community. The sermon will be given by Most Worshipful George H. Chapin, Grand Master of Masons in Virginia. Make plans to attend.
The Cornerstone is tentatively scheduled for October 30. The original date had to be postponed because of construction delay. The tentative date is being considered by City Council. I will inform you as soon as I get confirmation form the City.
We will be holding elections for Junior Deacon on the second Stated Communication in October.
Sincerely and fraternally,
Michael P. Bible
Worshipful Master
