Master's Message

My Brethren:

Worshipful Brother Stephen W. Law, a member of the Grand Lodge Committee on Work, will be our speaker for the first Stated Communication this month. Brother Law will be talking about the history of the Symbolic Lodge Ritual. If you have ever had questions concerning the wording of the ritual or just do not quite understand it this is your chance to get those questions answered.

At our second Stated Communication, we will have the honor of Virginia's highest Official of the Knights Templar of the U.S. as our guest speaker, Sir Knight Richard Baldwin, Right Eminent Grand Captain General. Brother and Sir Knight Baldwin will be speaking on the Knights Templar and their relationship to Freemasonry.

The Grand Master will be making his official visit to Masonic Districts 1A, 1B, and 54 on June 10, 2000 at the Alexandria Scottish Rite Temple, Alexandria VA. This will be a tiled event, with a dinner. Tickets are required for the dinner; seating is limited so contact me if you would like to attend.

We will be hosting Liberty Lodge, Beverly, MA the weekend of August 19, 2000. This historical event dates back many years. We are looking for members to act as host families for our visiting brethren. This is an opportunity to make new friends or renew old acquaintances, so if you are interested in hosting a family contact me or our Senior Warden.

Brethren, when was the last time you checked on your Masonic information? Have you joined other Appendant Masonic Organizations since becoming a Mason; moved recently; or changed your telephone number? Please take a moment to drop a line to the Secretary or me with this information so that we can make sure your information is correct and that you receive the Trestleboards each month.

The Lodge office has a new telephone number, (703) 299-6122. It will be published in the Northern Virginia telephone book. This line is equipped with an answering machine.

Sincerely and fraternally,

Terry L. Gigure
Worshipful Master
