My Brethren:
Our program for the first Stated Communication of the month will feature Wor.Bro. William Gene Sizemore, RADM USN Ret., 33 Degree Grand Cross speaking on Military Masons, the National Sojourners and their relationship to the Symbolic Lodge. He will bring a unique perspective concerning Military Masons. We will be saluting the Fourth of July and the American spirit.
Our second Stated Communication will be Shrine Night. Our guest speaker will be Ill. Noble Donald E. Smith, Potentate of Kena Temple, A. A. N. O. M. S. This should be a very interesting night since there have been various discussions on types of Shrine membership.
The Grand Lodge of Virginia is putting on a Leadership, ritual, and education school at Fork Union Military Academy August 6 through 9. If you would like to attend, please contact our Secretary.
We will be hosting Liberty Lodge, Beverly, MA the weekend of August 19, 2000. This historical event dates back many years. We are looking for members' families to act as hosts for our visiting brethren. This is an opportunity to make new friends or renew old acquaintances, so if you are interested in hosting a family contact our Senior Warden or me.
October 26 is Past Masters night and October 28 is Alexandria-Washington Lodge's Ladies Night stay tuned for further details.

Brethren, Worshipful Brother John Nicholson has told me that he plans to retire from Federal Government services next year, and his future plans are to move to West Virginia in 2002. He suggested that we start looking for someone who could "understudy" with him for the position of Lodge Treasurer. If anyone has any accounting experience or would like to take on a challenging job, please contact me at your earliest convenience. |
Sincerely and fraternally,
Terry L. Gigure
Worshipful Master
