My Brethren:
We will be paying homage to Worshipful Brother George Washington by performing our annual wreath laying ceremony at his tomb on the Mount Vernon estate on December 14, 2000 followed by refreshments at the National Sojourner's Museum of American History at Collingwood. Brethren planning on attending are requested to try and carpool, so that we have minimum impact on the estate grounds. These events take place at 8:00 am with all brethren requested to assemble in the East parking lot of the Mount Vernon estate. These events also coincide with our first and only Stated Communication of the month.
At our one and only Stated Communication, we will hear the annual reports concerning the state of the Lodge, hold elections, and close the Lodge of Sorrow. Therefore, as we did last month let's get out the vote.
Brethren this is the last Trestleboard that I will be writing. I want you all to know that it was fun and I tried to put something in each Trestleboard for everyone. There were spelling mistakes for those of you with large vocabularies and grammar mistakes for you English Majors, a little bit of everything.
The insert of this Trestleboard concerns the Installation of Officers for the year 2001. Try to make every effort to be there for this most important event of the Lodge. Also, take moment of time to make a New Year's resolution to come back to Lodge to support our new Worshipful Master and Lodge officers.
Happy holidays and a joyous New Year to you and your family.

Brethren, Worshipful Brother John Nicholson has told me that he plans to retire from Federal Government services next year, and his future plans are to move to West Virginia in 2002. He suggested that we start looking for someone who could "understudy" with him for the position of Lodge Treasurer. If anyone has any accounting experience or would like to take on a challenging job, please contact me at your earliest convenience. |
Sincerely and fraternally,
Terry L. Gigure
Worshipful Master
