Spring is upon us, and I hope the nicer weather will induce more of you to come out and enjoy the fellowship at our Communications.
Our Joint Communication with Andrew Jackson Lodge was very successful. We had a full lodge room that evening. Wor. John Everly, PM, did an excellent job as Worshipful Master and conducted a very enjoyable meeting. Our Speakers for the evening were Most Worshipful Donald M. Robey, PGM, and Most Worshipful Steward W. Miner, PGM. They both had outstanding presentations and brought back many good memories of some of our departed Brethren, who were very active in both Lodges. I would like to thank every one who attended this special occasion, especially those who occupied the officers' chair.
We had a disappointing turnout for our first educational EA Lodge. Wor. John Shroeder, PM, spoke about the several eminent masons who helped shape our country and gave us some insight on their challenges and doubts during their uncertain journey. It was a very informative program, and it's a shame that only a hand full of members made an effort to attend. Hopefully, the participation will increase throughout the year, especially from our Entered Apprentices and Fellowcrafts.
It is my sad duty to report that we have lost two of our members to the Celestial Lodge. Bother Glen C. Marshal passed away on March 16 and Bother Donald W. Sheehan passed away on March 23. Please keep their families in your prayers.
Although April is not usually a busy month for the Lodge, it is a special one. This is the month of our Charter, and the second Stated Communication in April is the only time of the year when we meet in the replica Lodge room. At our first stated Communication, we will hear from the Masonic Home Ambassador for Masonic District 1-A.
Our next EA lodge will be held on April 12. Wor. S. Brent Morris, PM and Brother Arturo De Hoyos, will speak on Anti-Masonic issues and organizations as described in their new book, "Is it true what they say about Masonry?". The William Hiram Wood Ritual School will be held from April 27 - 29 in the North Lodge Room of the GWMNM. This is a great opportunity for anyone who whishes to learn the ritual. Your participation is highly encouraged.
Fourteen of us will be going to Egg Harbor, New Jersey, on April 24 to celebrate the 85th Ladies Night of William Elkins Lodge No, 271 at the Renault Winery. This event will include wine tasting and a tour of the winery.
We will conclude our activities for April by hosting the Masters and Wardens Association meeting on April 30.
Sincerely and fraternally,

Frank S. Skwirut
Worshipful Master
