Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22

December 2004

Master's Message

Brethren,

This will be the last message I have the privilege to write to you as Worshipful Master of Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22. That you have allowed me to serve our Lodge this year has been a tremendous honor, and will be one of the unforgettable experiences of my life. I take with me many good memories and friendships that I probably would not otherwise had a chance to experience. To serve this Lodge is a humbling experience and I highly encourage every member to consider it.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to all those who have assisted in the operation of the Lodge this year by serving on committees, serving as Officers, presenting the programs for the information and enjoyment of the brethren and to all the members who supported the Lodge by your regular attendance at our meetings and events.

The final Stated Communication of the year will be held on Thursday, December 09. We will address the usual year-end business, my departing message, officer and committee reports, 2005 officer elections, Masonic birthdays, memorial service for our departed brethren and the closing of the Lodge of Sorrow. I look forward to your attendance at this important meeting.

On December 14th we will observe the passing of our Illustrious Brother George Washington with a wreath laying ceremony at Mount Vernon. This is also an opportunity for you to meet and enjoy the fellowship of our new Grand Master, Most Worshipful John Randall Quinley.

Included in this bulletin you will find the invitation for the "Installation of Officers" to be held on Monday, December 27, 2004. This is an open event and you are encouraged to bring your family and friends. Bro. Tom McMahan has an exciting and motivating plan for the lodge, which along with your indispensable support will strengthen our sense of fellowship and pride in our Lodge's history and traditions.

My Brethren, I wish you a wonderful upcoming Holiday Season, and I extend my best and most sincere wishes to you and to your families. If there is anything with which I may ever be of assistance to you, now or in the future, always know you may call upon me. Again, I thank you for allowing me to serve Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22.

Sincerely and fraternally,

Frank S. Skwirut
