Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22

March 2006

Master's Message

Brethren,

Thanks to everyone who took part in our events so far this year. Last month we had a few more at our "First Friday AW" social event. I appreciate everyone who has attended any of our events. Whether it is degrees, stated communications, fraternal visits, or social events, each event counts. If you have not come to something this year, please do. Your brethren would like to see you, share a meal, and catch up on old times.

This is another busy month for the members and friends of Alexandria-Washington Lodge. This month for the First Night AW social event we will go to The Front Page in Arlington. This is a visit to a member of our Lodge and former Senior Warden of Alexandria- Washington. We will meet at 7:30pm for dinner and entertainment.

At our first Stated Communication this month our District Education Officer, Wor. Herb Hollander will make his official visit to our lodge and will present a program on "Washington's Most Discussed Artifact". Also, in accordance with Executive Order No. 4 we will vote on the DDGM Nomination that we received from Andrew Jackson Lodge No. 120. We will also have a Called Communication to work in the degrees on Saturday the 11th. We will have coffee and pastries at 9:00am and will start our degree work at 10:00am. We also have a Trustees Meeting on Tuesday the 14th at 7:00pm. All members of the lodge are welcomed on these dates.

We only have one Fraternal Visit this month. As I stated at my Installation we would try to make one Fraternal Visit outside of our Masonic District each month. We are trying to get out and see a little bit more of Masonry. We didn't do that in January, but last month we did visit Potomac Lodge No. 5 in DC. This month Thursday the 16th we will visit Cherrydale Lodge No. 42 in Arlington. This Lodge come and makes a visit to us each year when we have our combined meeting with Andrew Jackson Lodge No. 120.

On Saturday the 18th at 9:00am we will attend the Division Leadership Conference in Warrenton. This is a required event for Officers of the Lodge. All brethren are invited to come. If you are interested in joining the Officer Line in the future this would be a good time to check if out.

At our second Stated Communication we will have a program on the Masonic Blood Program. This will be presented by the new District Blood Coordinator, Brother Brendan Malcolm Burns of our lodge. Come out and find out what advancements there has been in giving the "gift of life".

Sincerely and fraternally,

"Tom"
