Thanks to everyone for their participation last month. I would especially like to thank everyone who came out to the 1st Friday Social Event in September. We had 40 in attendance. What a great and unexpected birthday party for me. Our other events were also very well attended. This month we have a very busy schedule. We will start with our 1st Friday AW - Social Event. We will meet for dinner at the Silver Diner in Springfield. I picked this restaurant to deliberately keep the price low since we have a banquet the next week.
On Saturday the 14th of October we will have our annual Ladies Night. This year it will be at the Doubletree Hotel in Crystal City. We have a terrific day lined up. We will have a Hospitality Suite starting at 2:00 pm. The evening entertainment will start at 7:30pm. We will be attending the Murder Mystery Dinner Playhouse located in the hotel. The current play is "Murder in the Court". In addition to a wonderful four course dinner every lady will receive a hand crafted gift made by a Virginia Artisan. The cost for the entire evening is $50.00 per person. I have tried to keep all of my events this year as reasonably priced as possible. This is a great evening with a marvelous gift. Please come out and join with everyone for this annual event.
For our First Stated Communications this month we will honor our Past Masters. This year I have asked Worshipful Brother Frank Skwirut to sit in the East. This will be Worshipful Frank's last chance to be with us before he leaves the states for a business opportunity in Brazil. Please come out and join all our Past Masters for this great evening. At our Second Stated Communication we will be discussing the upcoming Grand Lodge Resolutions. If you want your voice heard at Grand Lodge come and let your core of Officers know your opinion of this years resolutions. We will also have an Archives Meeting this month on Tuesday the 17th. Come out and find out how your Lodges Archives are being managed. All members are welcomed at this meeting.
Also this month we will a Called Communication to work in the Fellow Craft and Master Mason Degrees. Please come out on Thursday the 5th and help this Brother take this 3rd step in Masonry. It is always nice to have Brethren on the sidelines for the degrees. Also this month we will have a Visiting Lodge from Lewes, Delaware. Jefferson Lodge will be making a visit on Saturday the 28th. All members are always invited to attend when we have a Lodge that comes to hold their meeting in our historic Lodge room.
I want to thank each and everyone of you who have taken the time out of your busy schedule to come and spend at our events this year. I know that there are many other things that you could be doing. If you see or hear from any of our Brethren that you haven't seen in Lodge invite them out. We miss each and every one who has not been with us this year. I know that many of you live too far out of town to make it to our Lodge but, don't deprive the rest of the Craft of your company. If you can't make it to Alexandria-Washington Lodge No. 22 then go to a Lodge close to you. You will enjoy their company and they will enjoy yours.
Sincerely and fraternally,
